A Clear Sign of Hope....

Hey everyone,

I know it's been a while, but a window of opportunity has somewhat opened up. We may have a possible professional venue to perform at with a chance of getting credibility. I have become somewhat aquainted with the owner and he said that improv groups have performed in the past, but from time to time if there's no recordings going on for shows that night he and a few of his friends will do improv with the headliner and features. The place in question is Snickerz Comedy Bar.

Here's the catch, this is the real deal. We need to be extremely professional. This is a place to build credibility. Also, if we send out performers, they to be 21 and older with a valid I.D. How does this sound? Now granted, the owner said that if I'm ready to bring a group to just get a hold of one of his assistants for a schedule.

Now if any of you have questions or concerns, call or email me when the concern comes up. No I didn't sign us up or anything. This is just a venue in question. Have a happy holiday and a good new year.

Time to Hit It Once Again!

Hey guys,

I know it's been a long time since we've done anything. Well I've had Miss Emily express interest in doing improv. With the disbanning of Improvatron 20/20 and the possible addition of Daniel Clay, a fellow Centennial person, we may have more than enough to do warm-ups for us with show possiblities.

Now this is what you need to do, get a hold of me. I need you all to tell me what times work.
Call me at dhampirblondieo@gmail.com or ashdmill@sbcglobal.net. I will try to get some practices, but I need to know what times will be good on your schedule. Let's make it happen.

Post Showcase and other things

I wanted to thank Scott for helping with Saturday's show.

Now that the library's open on Saturdays, we can practice there. I hope we can get a few practices going. That way we can do our own show. We'll have the time to play more games that we love and that the audience loves. So, let's put our heads together. I know this weekend will be hard for me since I work 8 am to 5 pm.

August 30th and 31st Showcase....

Joey D is once again doing a magic show, and it's a weekend double header on 08/30 and 08/31. He has asked Evolution to open for him again. I need to know who can go. I'll be hosting for the shows, but I need at least 3 or 4 more people. Who can do it? Please let me know soon.

Also, we are going to try to start warm-ups officially after Labor Day. The library will be open on the weekends. I hope to hear from you.

Joey D's show and other stuff....

First of all, I wanna thank Scott and Emily for doing the opening act. Joey D thanks all of us who were involved and thought we rocked.

Now, I know practices have been rather hard to get together. Believe me, I know. I can try to set up another practice date, but the Firehouse House is the only place available. I can't explain publically, but I am waiting until Labor Day passes in order for us to meet at the library. If you wish to speak with me in private, you may email me. The library will be a little less hectic and little more liberating as far ask tasks go. I do hope everyone is ready to set things off again. Until then, remember the games well.

Open Showcase Opportunity

Hey guys,

Joey D is planning a show on July 26th at 7:00 pm and is looking for improv people to be his opening act. This will be open to both Improvysteria and Evolution Improv. Think of this as a learning experience to learn from the others. Joey D did give myself and Scott creative control of the opening act so if we meet before the show we can decide what games to play. I'm assuming this will be a parent friendly show. More info to come.

First warm-up

I'm sorry I can't be there on the coming weekend, but waaaay cool first warm-up folks!

Rudy sells rutabagas in Rhode Island... but his friends are depraved and disgusting. How obscene!

Speaking of, I'd like to commemorate George Carlin. The world lost a master. In his immortal words:

"Yeah, yeah, will you give me my f***ing change please?"

Another practice date....

This is kind of iffy, but would anyone be available to practice 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on 06/28? I would set it for later, but there's going to be a show at the Firehouse. We have to be done before they arrive to get the place ready for the show. Post a reply or get a hold me via my gmail. If I'm correct, Scott, you can't make it. If we have enough people we'll do it. If not, we'll scratch it. Hope we can do it.

I think it's time....

With the addition Mr. Andrew, who went to the April 19th show, it looks like Evolution will have to take off and starting doing some full fledge shows. Plus with the introduction of Joey D, it's time to begin our own little campaign for showtime.

Who we are....

Let me be the first to say what Evolution Improv is. It is a group of improvisers that do improv games. So far we've done little games here and there, but if we want to a do a show we can.

So far it is myself, Scott, Tyler, Joey D, Andy, and whoever else is available. As far as how many people we need per performance, only 4 will do if it's a short performance.

In this blog you will find practice dates, show dates, suggestions, and any other business that needs to be dealt with.

If you guys have any questions, now's the time to ask.
