A Long Time....

Yes I know it has been a long time, but this is an important update. I have started this group back up. We did a show in May of 2011. More to come.

Hey guys,

I know we have cut our ties with The Firehouse Theater for many reason, but I am here to post that the place is under new management. Theater director Paul Allen has taken over the place and it's now called STAGES Theatre Company at Old Firehouse #10. I at least wanted to get that out.

There is one catch. To do a improv show at STAGES Theatre Comany, we need a deposit of $125.00 to do a show, then we can get scheduled and have 4 hours of stage time. I know this is way too much for us, but I am just saying this. If we wanted to move on up, we can. If worse comes to worse, I'll fork out the money if we decide to do a show under STAGES banner.

Hope everyone is having a good summer off. Take care, and check out STAGES to see what they're about.

Update

I know it's been a long time since we've done anything....and I mean anything, but we have been given a great opportunity.

Paul Allen, owner of STAGES Theater company, has taken up shop at The Firehouse Theater, and approached me about possibly getting an improv group together, getting them ready for a show, and get them a possible late night slot to put butts in seats. This may also be a paying gig as well. We would be able to do adult shows as well as the family shows if we ever get a chance.

I know we are a tad bit busy, but I want to know if you guys are still interested. If you have any questions, let me know.

A Clear Sign of Hope....

Hey everyone,

I know it's been a while, but a window of opportunity has somewhat opened up. We may have a possible professional venue to perform at with a chance of getting credibility. I have become somewhat aquainted with the owner and he said that improv groups have performed in the past, but from time to time if there's no recordings going on for shows that night he and a few of his friends will do improv with the headliner and features. The place in question is Snickerz Comedy Bar.

Here's the catch, this is the real deal. We need to be extremely professional. This is a place to build credibility. Also, if we send out performers, they to be 21 and older with a valid I.D. How does this sound? Now granted, the owner said that if I'm ready to bring a group to just get a hold of one of his assistants for a schedule.

Now if any of you have questions or concerns, call or email me when the concern comes up. No I didn't sign us up or anything. This is just a venue in question. Have a happy holiday and a good new year.

Time to Hit It Once Again!

Hey guys,

I know it's been a long time since we've done anything. Well I've had Miss Emily express interest in doing improv. With the disbanning of Improvatron 20/20 and the possible addition of Daniel Clay, a fellow Centennial person, we may have more than enough to do warm-ups for us with show possiblities.

Now this is what you need to do, get a hold of me. I need you all to tell me what times work.
Call me at dhampirblondieo@gmail.com or ashdmill@sbcglobal.net. I will try to get some practices, but I need to know what times will be good on your schedule. Let's make it happen.

Post Showcase and other things

I wanted to thank Scott for helping with Saturday's show.

Now that the library's open on Saturdays, we can practice there. I hope we can get a few practices going. That way we can do our own show. We'll have the time to play more games that we love and that the audience loves. So, let's put our heads together. I know this weekend will be hard for me since I work 8 am to 5 pm.

August 30th and 31st Showcase....

Joey D is once again doing a magic show, and it's a weekend double header on 08/30 and 08/31. He has asked Evolution to open for him again. I need to know who can go. I'll be hosting for the shows, but I need at least 3 or 4 more people. Who can do it? Please let me know soon.

Also, we are going to try to start warm-ups officially after Labor Day. The library will be open on the weekends. I hope to hear from you.
